Dresden & Radebeul

Hi everyone and thank you for sticking to my blog! I know it’s been some weeks now that I had posted something on my blog and I believe that the next weeks will be not different. I really love my blog and I don’t want to give it up but the last weeks had been so busy for me.

First of all I started my new job and I had to get used to the work and the schedule. Second, I was trying really hard for an apprenticeship or study the last weeks and I was traveling to different cities for some interviews. I had to do this during my off days, so there was no private time left for me to indulge in my blog. I have to admit that the travels had been quite nice, but still very time- and energy-consuming. The interviews had been fun and a great experience but unfortunately I had no luck until now to receive acceptance for a study or at least a test work week.

There is still plan B in my pocket to apply at a university for a different kind of study, but this will be under complete different requirements, so I’m not able to estimate my chances in that at all.

I’m glad I could bring my photo camera with me to the interviews and make some beautiful photographies of the cities of Dresden and Radebeul, which is a very small town next to Dresden. I was also in south Germany in Mannheim and Neustadt, but I did not make great pics there. Hope you enjoy the pics as long as I don’t have my next sewing project finished to present to you. Dresden and Radebeul are actually very cute and beautiful, even though it looks a little bit shabby in some places.

Freezing cold and fashion week!

This week is all about following the fashion week shows, especially the menswear collections. There have been some quite interesting collections so far. I enjoyed seeing Dries Van Noten, Walter Van Beirendonck, Etro and my favorite designer James Long. I own one James Long sweater but seeing his collection makes me want to have more pieces. Watching fashion shows is the perfect thing while the weather outside is freezing cold. To give you an impression of Berlin winter I made some winter photographies for you. It’s not a lot, but it was not easy to get me out into the cold and to catch some decent pics with winter atmosphere this winter. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Best of… 2012 Food Photography!

I was thinking for a long time if to make a 2012 review or not since my blog does exist only three months until now, but I thought it would be a nice idea to make simply a Best Of… of all my food photographies from last year. Photography is not really one of my big hobbies and my photographies are not that professional, but most of my visitors and followers enjoyed my photographies a lot and maybe that was something that made my blog special.

So this is my Best of.. especially for everyone who is visiting my blog for the first time. Enjoy the photographies and may all of you have a great year 2013!

Hidden fall season places

What a great weekend! It was the perfect ending of my one week holiday. The sun was shining and the temperature was mild. On saturday I was invited to my parents place for lunch. We had stuffed zucchini, roast goose and self-made apple pie for dessert. I cannot remember how long it has been that I stuffed myself with food like that! The best was definitely my moms apple pie. It was made with fresh apples from my parents garden. And guess what they brought me from their garden: quinces! I already have some ideas what to do with them.

Of course this weekend was also perfect for nature photography. During the fall season you never know what to expect from the weather, so you always try to use sunny days to full capacity. Nature offers a pot full of colors at the moment and I have selected some of my snapshots and put them together for you on my blog. I was searching for places enchanted by the fall season here in Berlin. It’s amazing what places you can find when you search for them!

The fall season, a new beginning!

The fall season has started and for me as well as for many other people it always marked a new beginning. Maybe because it is the time when a new school year starts or because it is the time when the carefree summertime ends. For me it is the time when I look back on the past year and ask myself if it was successful or not. I’m wondering what the next year will bring for me. I’m wishing for changes, a new job, a new challenge. Hopefully I will be able to save some money for traveling and to spend memorable moments with my partner.

Here in Berlin the fall season brings a lot of rain and changing temperature along with colorful leaves and a melancholic atmosphere. This season is just perfect for romantic walks or cosy afternoons at home while the rain is dripping and the wind is whistling outside. I love the location of my flat in Berlin-Wedding because it is surrounded by so many parks and green areas. I made some photographs of my green neighborhood and I want to share them with you to show you what is inspiring me here during the fall season. So take a walk with me through my neighborhood and while you are doing this you can ask yourself what your new year is supposed to bring for you and what your wishes are!
